Restylane Injections
Restylane touch, Restylane and Restylane Perlane are based on a substance which is a non animal stabilised hyaluronic acid (NASHA) which exists naturally in the body. It's most important function is to carry and bind water. Q-med have developed a way of stabilizing the hyaluronic acid to achieve an effect that lasts for six to twelve months when smoothing lines, six months when used to augment lips and twelve months when smoothing lines and wrinkles. The crystal clear NASHA gel is injected into the skin and achieves its effects by providing volume.

What are fillers?
Restylane touch Restylane and Restylane Perlane are known as facial fillers they contain a substance known as hyaluronic acid which exists naturally in the body, and its most important function is to carry and bind water. Q-med have developed a way of stabilizing hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid is synthesized in a gel, which is then injected into the required area. Which can achieve, effects that lasts, for six to twelve months in smoothing lines and around six months when used to augment lips.
What areas of the face can be treated with Restylane?
Most areas of the face can be treated with restylane; the most popular areas are, around the eyes, nose to mouth lines, lines at each side of the mouth, smokers’ lines around the mouth. With perlane or Restylane Lipp the lips can be enhanced and made fuller and using Restylane Perlane, Or Restylane Sub-Q the cheeks of the face can be contoured. With the introduction Macrolane it is now possible to offer breast enlargement by injection.
Is restylane painful?
A local anesthetic cream is used prior to treatment to lessen any discomfort.
How long will the treatment take?
The treatment time is very much dependant on the areas or area to be treated, it is best to allow an hour for treatment as topical anesthetic needs to be applied ideally forty minutes before your procedure, however medical consultation and consent can be completed in this time.
Once I’ve had treatment how long will it last?
Dermal fillers once in place will normally last six to twelve months for facial lines and folds, however when used for lip enhancement the product will generally last up to six months.
How many treatments will I need to get a result?
A one of treatment will give you an immediate result, however along side this treatments can be maintained and topped up if required.
How long will it be until I can see a result?
Results from dermal fillers can be seen immediately.
Who can benefit from this treatment?
Dermal fillers are used mainly on more established lines and folds, except for the case of lip enhancements, however as we appreciate the uniqueness of our clients, it is not possible or practical to bracket these types of enhancement to any one particular market.
What can go wrong?
Very little can go wrong, once your medical practitioner has assessed your suitability for the treatment.
